Relevant Experience

Literature is my absolute passion and I have been lucky enough to live in a place where so many great festivals are held, small presses are located and some of the best current Australian writers, Melbourne. Now I live in the UK I hope to be as involved as I was in Australia, hoping to enrich the experience of those who love writing and books!

INTERN AT THE OXFORD BROOKES POETRY CENTRE

September 2022 - September 2023

  • Helping at events, running stalls

  • Curating poems for the Weekly Poem email newsletter and sending them

  • Working on a reoccurring poetry reading event at local Oxford spots

  • Sitting in on editorial meetings and sharing opinions on submissions

  • Having an in depth look into the intricacies of running a small poetry press.

MEMBER OF THE SHELLEY MEMORIAL PROJECT

June 2021 - current

  • The aim of this group based in Horsham, West Sussex, is to establish a lasting public memorial to the poet Shelley - for public enjoyment, inspiration and education, and to commemorate Horsham’s most famous citizen.

  • I opened the first Shelleython poetry marathon and am now working on a piece as a correspondent from Oxford which will be about the memorial at University College.

BACHELOR OF ENGLISH LITERATURE AND PHILOSOPHY (HONS) - OXFORD BROOKES UNIVERSITY

  • I'm currently studying joint degree in English Literature and Philosophy

  • I begin my dissertation in September and my chosen topic is the radical ecological politics of Percy Shelley

  • I was enrolled in the Creative Writing program at RMIT

  • My focus and specialization was poetry.

  • Studied Creative Writing and Literature in an intensive course at Somerville and Worcester College at Oxford University

  • Intended to simulate the 2:1 tutorial format of Oxford Classes

  • I spent a month in Oxford and explored it thoroughly, which lead to my falling in love and wanting to move here someday
